Drink Driving
How in the name of God is that Garda decent, HBV could be avoiding tax for two months while everybody else obeys the law and struggles to pay it. Fair enough HBV has documentation at home to prove payment but surely the Garda should investigate the lack of disk!!

I wonder how many punters without disks who haven’t paid tax got through that checkpoint. It’s that sort of “ah sure it’s grand, we’ll get it done eventually” attiitude that has this country totally FUCKED UP!!! One rule for humble law abiding PAYE paying folk and another rule for chancers. Link Walsh is an absolute twat on this thread.
Only on this thread? :pint:

I meant to bring this up yesterday evening as well.

Is everything ok Ben?

I was in the car with a lad before going to Oz and he was trying to avoid the cops as his tax was 6 months out of date. I came back from Oz a year later and was in the car with him, and he still had no tax on the car. Over he 3 years he got caught once and had to pay a 60 fine or something, if he’d payed the Tax it would have been 500 or so.

By that reasoning why the fuck should anybody keep up to date on their tax?

I can understand a week or two (and most Garda will aswell), but two months is ripping the piss and is giving the two fingers to people who are honest enough to pay their tax on time.

i think the Guard knew from seeing where i originated that all was above board ben, no need to lose the rag over it.

Surely you reported this to your local Garda station?

Thinly veiled it was me.

Everything is grand, just remembering the men who died in WW1. Be they Irish or any other nationality.

Thats very honourable of you ben. I just hope some on here don’t chastise you for doing so.

:eek::eek: How dare you.

Ben that poppy thing is worse than drink driving.

Once they signed up for the war they were no longer Irish.

I can never understand Ireland’s problem with the poppy. We should be proud to wear it to remember the Irishmen who died in war.

I’m not getting into this again

A few of the goms on here would id say, cops are cynical cunts out for the handy catch all the time, here in Inistioge we work together as a community to limit the successes of this age old tradition, its simple eneogh.

you are some man to be lecturing to irish people about paying tax.

I find the symbol of the poppy to be very ironic given the reasons behind the current war in Afghanastan

Way to open up a can of worms Benny. I agree with you myself

Are you happy with tax evaders in society while you pay up to revenue??

If you thought you could get away with not paying tax would you?
