Drugs in sport (and non sports)

Friend of the forum Ewan McKenna has got the plum gig of interviewing him on the night. 90 mins

Sky News giving SBW an easier ride than the drugs ever did. Quelle surprise.

Yes but I’d say there are network politics at play in itv bigging the story up as well.

I thought Kimmage was going to explode when he was roaring at yer man about him not getting the interviewing gig and asking him why wasn’t I asked to do it and yer man says as cool as you like “well we took you at your word Paul, when you said in 2014 that you had put Lance Armstrong behind you and you were moving on with your life”.

As if Lance would even sit in the same room as Kimmage.

Wouldn’t have the balls for that.

Kimmage is a very unhappy chap.

Journalists who are happy shouldn’t be working as journalists.

Maybe. But the whole trauma of his pro career failure and doping etc seems to be eating him up.

Ewan, if you pop in here pre interview, would you ever ask him how he got Stephanie Mcilvain to perjure herself, was it threats, bribery or both, and has he any remorse about exposing a young lady to a potential jail sentence?
Also, how relieved is he that they haven’t formally gone after him for perjury as yet??

He does a great half hour with Cooper every Monday night. It is uncomfortable listening sometimes.

Ps will you ask him whether Carlos Sastre was clean.

Also, how does he feel about all around American hero and good egg George hincapie throwing him under the bus like a fucking coward, especially as lance had set him up for life.

He was a grade a cunt oul lance in fairness. Not as bad as bruyneel, but bad enough. The drugs were neither here nor there to be honest. He was just better at them than anyone else.

some b rate journalist vs the guy who raised half a billion for charity, i know which side right thinking people will be on

Or the ball…
