I’ll donate too but won’t be joining you fitzy. Everything in moderation. This dry July lark reminds me of lads going off the booze for January or November in preparation / to recover from Xmas. Maybe if they didn’t destroy themselves in the first place they wouldn’t need to.

I’m doing this also, though not for the benefit of anyone but myself. Drank an endless amount of beer in front of the telly watching sport the last few weeks and spent enough lunchtimes in Zaytoon that the guy who runs the place goes out of his way to greet me when I’m in or will seek me out to bid me farewell if he’s going off somewhere. The ned kelly on me is ridiculous.
Going to Croker on Sunday though so July will be starting at the slightly later than advertised time of Monday morning this year.

I did Art, no drop of alcohiolic beverage passed my lips for the entire month. Didn’t miss it all that much, apart from having a glass of decent shiraz with a nice dinner. Actually lost some weight as well as I stepped up the running. But then I had to go home to Ireland suddenly on August 1st due to a family bereavement and that involved, as it generally does at an Irish funeral, a very large amount of drink. So now I’m back, I’m going very easy for the next month. I actually generally give up the traip during January and February every year. I’d recommend it to anyone to take a month or two off it, amazing how much money you save as well. Then again, I’m in my forties now and quite boring.
