Go through the tg4 player and rte player. You’d find some gems on both.

There was a brilliant one done on Anton O’Toole at Christmas.

That was very good as well.

There’s a great mystique to Dublin footballers.

Dublin/Kerry mystique.

Brian referenced not being on the pitch for the full hour against Galway in 1983. Was inter-county not 70 mins back then and when did it switch?

Switched about 1976. Possibly a mere slip of the tongue from Brian. You’d often hear oul’ lads at matches castigating lads who are beginning to struggle with comments like “he’ll never last the hour - his mother couldn’t either” before a Gallagher-esque spit on the hands and glare viscously into the distance.

What years were the 80 minute finals

Up to 1969 - 60 minutes.
1970-1974 - 80 minutes.
1975 - present - 70 minutes.

League and O’Byrne Cup etc. matches used to be only 60 minutes. I can’t remember exactly when they went to 70 minutes. I’d guess it was around the mid to late 90s.

I actually thought the 70 minute matches came in 1976 with 1975 being the last year of the experimenting with 80 minute games. You might clarify this at your leisure.

I will. This is the full 1975 All-Ireland final. Game ends at 1 hour and 13 minutes.
