Dublin GAA Thread

Yeah. There is hardly another championship in that cuala team and definitely no more all irelands. Id say Eddie realised as much

The hair :eyes:

He would be no big addition at this stage. Jack McCaffrey would be a serious addition but id say that ship has sailed too.

That bollox Keys again , he’ll probably ghost the book as well

I can see more and more lads going down this route in the future. The demands of the game are just too much for amateur players.

These guys have too many other worlds to discover …an outstanding group of men…

His brother opted for a very different path

I’d say its actually the opposite.

McCaffrey is a long way from being an Inter County athlete these days where as Mannion is still fit and could slot in seamlessly enough.

It’s backs Dublin need at the moment not forwards

When you see other gaa muldoons dining out on one all Ireland or a minor Ireland … these lads have 6 or 7 all Irelands and the majority have no interest in talking about it …

A much rarer species across the board these days as well

I’d have massive respect for a fella who understood the balance thats required in ones life. The sooner these GAA managers are told to fuck off and shite with their 5 sessions a week, the better.

Bang on the money. Trouble is the GAA industry (S & C, coaches, dieticians, food prep etc) is massive and they will suck these players dry (and not in a good way).

We need to take back our association from these fucking snake oil salesmen. All day sessions in the pub after Championships games are what this fucking association was built upon.

Sure aren’t most on here training 4 or 5 times a week.

Most club players are doing 3 sessions a week plus a gym session or other practice.

The problem with the inter county appears to be lads arriving to training an hour early then meals after, meetings and the travel requirements. That’s where the time comes in.

Some of it can be saved but geography plays a huge role. It was and still is a huge advantage to Dublin.
