You’d luas it to the goat of you could stomach 20 mins walking
They couldn’t afford me
Luas into Charlemont. 2-3 minute walk to The Lower Deck. Hurling will definitely be on.
Where are ye staying
I’ve no idea but I’m guessing southside. My father has been very vauge on details
Can you blame him looking at your ability to horse down grub.
@BruidheanChaorthainn I’ve been told now that the hotel is “in around Stephens Green”. That surely increases the options of finding a pub that might be showing the hurling?
Could venture down as far as Chaplins if stuck?
Sinnotts or Hairy Lemon ?
Would they be showing hurling? Hairy Lemon wouldnt have struck me as that sort of spot.
What was i thinking
Ryan’s or Cassidy’s is within radius now
That’s the call.
Pubs around Grafton Street showing the match will be few or far between, certainly with feck all comfort.
Chaplins will definitely have it and nice pints too.
The lower deck not a million miles away. Ryans. Devitts. Somewhere on camden street will definitely be showing it. The crew you are with would be happiest in the lower deck I’d imagine. Camden street will be very busy with the bank holiday and the rubby
Sinnotts wouldn’t show hurling in a month of Sundays. Chaplins is the safe bet here.
Peter will definitely have it on in Ryans and is great to look after Old people when they land on even giving them stools to sit on.
Ryans mightnt be that busy before 9 too.
Hartigan’s might show it for you.
@TreatyStones when an auld country lad says near Stephens Green it could cover an area from Ranelagh to Donnybrook to Kilmainham to Phibsboro. I’d get a bit more detail and make sure to stick to the Luas back into town. Letting the crowd go on first and having a pint or two at the track wouldn’t be the worst idea. I can give you a few bookies to lighten the bag of as well
I’ve been asking for two weeks where we’re staying. I’m well aware it could literally be anywhere!
If it is around Stephens green it’ll be ideal. Park at hotel tomorrow morning and then the Luas out and back. I assume there’s some Nathan Carter style act on post racing, so a few pints there and then back into the city to watch the hurling.
@TreatyStones and his old fella be like gucci and the Berb in Ryan’s tomorrow night
Cc @Copper_pipe
@Mac i looked up the entertainment:
Two of Ireland’s best loved homegrown acts, Mundy and Paddy Casey will headline for Dublin Racing Festival. Mundy and Paddy Casey will perform after racing on the Bulmers Live Stage. Please see raceday pages for list of what’s happing over the weekend.
Yer probably staying in Coppers.
Mundy is playing afterwards tomorrow. He gave an iconic rendition of “And if we go to Mexico” there last year.
Paddy Casey is playing Sunday. I was a huge fan back around 2003 but he hasnt got much traction since.
