Galway are lying in the longest of the long grass. Theyâll win this.
Cunningham bringing Darragh OâConnell onto the Dublin panel at this stage of the year and saying he was surprised at OâCarroll dropping off the panel - risk you alienate the lads who are there from the start of the year and not playing. As the demands increase it is going to become a balancing act to keep non playing panel members happy. Of course once you win that is all forgotten.
Bit of pressure on Dublin coming into this as they are expected to win.
I will miss this as I will be flying on international business on Sunday but will tune in here via Aer Lingus WiFi for regular updates and ranting
Dublin are best priced 10/11 with Galway 5/4, draw 9/1. Looks about right to me.
I hear Joe Canning will be playing at no 4
@dancing baby, have you still got your Dublin training top you use to wear to all the games before you became a Leitrim man???
Never again will I be taken in by your âman about townâ shite like the night in Carrick with @The Selfish Giant and @croppy prior to the Leitrim v Roscommon gameâŚ

Michael Duignan tells the story of his Offaly debut in the All-Ireland semi-final against Galway, in 1986. Duignan was only 18 years old and was slated to mark Brendan Lynskey, a fabled hard man.
After the anthem, young Michael walked nervously over to the grizzled veteran and stretched out his hand. Lynskey glared at him curiously and said, âA mhaicĂn, what are you doing here? The minor match is overâ. A few seconds later, the ball was thrown in, at which Lynskey drove his elbow into the teenagerâs nose, before taking off down the field to receive the ball, leaving Duignan standing in a daze.
As the Offaly man put it, it was âWelcome to the big time, baby.â
Cool story, bro.
Dublin could have an unusual springer in the game who has come in under the radar and is hurling it up a storm in the full forward line in training and recent challenge matches.
Thanks, bro.
A fucking spaniel??
Cronin from Cuala.

your focus should be on returning to ball and to be able to drink for my 40th in July

Are you having a shindig mate ?
Galway will bate the dubsâŚ
Why so glum mate?
yes mate
Try Dooley the third keeper. Only playing outfield in practice games as keeper spots are taken and is hurling up a storm.

Offaly didnât play Galway in the 1986 All-Ireland semi-final.
Duignan was a minor in 86 as offaly won the AI. Shared a house in London with a panelist from that team and had it burned into my brain.
To anyone travelling, trust no one up there
did you ever see him puck a ball?..absolutely massive puck outâŚ
Did he play in the challenge against Wexford.
I thought I saw Cronin scored 2-4 in a challenge against Tipp.
Looking forward to Canning at centre half back on Rushe.

No big deal if he did, that team was hastily assembled via hours of desperate phone calls. Challenge played at the opening of an Upperchurch development on a busy Club Games weekend. Dublin only beat a thrown together Tipp team by a point or two.
