Yeah, I heard that there was war during one of the team-meetings in the week before the final. The possibility of Cillian O Connor (shoulder), or Alan Freeman (illness), or both, not starting was discussed. Horan explained to the squad what the plan would be in these eventualities. It appears Richie Feeney was not included in any of these plans, which prompted him to declare a fatwa on James Horan. Apparently he was backed up at the meeting by Aidan O Shea and Tom Cuniffe. The story goes that Feeney travelled to the match in his own car. All of this is allegedly of course.
