Dublin v Mayo - All-Ireland Senior Football Final 2013
Shut up you fucking spastic. Any gob shite could kick out the ball to free men.
.
They weren’t free when he started his run up to kick it. They all ran into space as he was kicking the ball and the mayo forwards were shocking at following them. I doubt you’d see the full effect on TV. I’ll let Bandage or Gman elaborate on it as at least you won’t just dismiss it out of hand when they post it

!

That’s it, let the bitterness out.

The only positive I can take from the game is we still have the hurling to look forward to. A betting washout unless MDM is nominated for MOTM or Higgins gets a sympathy nomination.

I thought Dublin had a way better workrate than Mayo today, both in defence and attack. Maybe that’s just down to the level of conditioning Dublin have but a massive number of Mayo’s attacks seemed to break down because there was no movement ahead of the man in possession when they met the line of the Dublin defence.

On the telly at least it looked like they were very stationary and like they were hoping to get a handy pass played back out to them instead of making aggressive runs through the cover and looking to take the ball on that way.

I realise you never playe the game, but what Cluxton was doing today was quite a basic skill in Gaelic football to anyone over the age of 14.

Jumping in with someone to have a shot off me when they are already making a fool of themselves makes you look even more stupid than normal. Well done, that’s serious fucking going.

Mayo expended too much energy too early. They were certainly dragging their feet by 45/50 mark.

Got a hint of them being over trained to be honest. All the brain farting would tie in with this.

Credit Dublin with pressure for some of it, but a lot of it was just dreadful decision making.

They have mental issues clearly, but they’ll win fuck all of note with Vaughan at center back (or not at center back as the case may be. )

Somebody sign me in to the I hate mayo and all they stand for thread z, Kerry or Tyrone would have beaten Dublin 6-10 points , fucking horrible to watch one team frozen with nerves and the other terrified to win

I warned you.

For all their gloating and bluster when they hammered Donegal - Donegal have their All Ireland and Mayo don’t.

You did so did fagan, they can fuck off now, utter kunts

I think cromwells to hell or to Connaught policy has resulted in a genetic concentration of losers in mayo , they wouldn’t fight literally if their lives depended on it

Congrats to the Dubs. What a shit game though-pity cos I thought it would be decent. Roll on the hurling next week.

Very well said, pal.

I’d add Galway to that list too, they perform in football finals

I am estimating that All Ireland football finals over the last 24 years have went something like this.

Cork P6 W3 L3
Down P3 W2 L1
Donegal P2 W2
Derry P1 W1
Dublin P5 W3 L2
Meath P5 W2 L3
Kerry P10 W6 L4
Galway P3 W2 L1
Armagh P2 W1 L1
Tyrone P4 W3 L1
Kildare P1 L1
Mayo P7 L7

Vindication for Dublin backers and Ger Brennan backers.

Unbelievable display by Cian O’Sullivan - one of the best I’ve seen in the flesh.

Did I predict a goalkeeping clanger too?

That’s 49/52 in GAA championship for me this season.

Cluxton was class. Takes some technique and balls to dribble out kick outs along the ground to free man. Dublin made Mayo midfield irrelevant

Dublin were always going to do this. We don’t have the big fielding midfielders and have adapted our game to that. I am surprised mayo had nothing to counteract that.
