Dundee United v Celtic ☘

I thought he might start today too & I think he was better than Kyogo & had a few bright moments. But he still frustrates me because of the lack of focus/concentration & casual elements to his play at times. He could have been in when Kyogo broke forward & swept it across to him but he misjudged the pace of the ball coming to him. He was also lazily offside one time when Celtic really had them pinned in & were sustaining attacks & that released the pressure. It’s nitpicking but these little things are what separates clinical strikers, it’s the difference in him being a passable rotation option & becoming Celtic’s first choice number nine over the next season & then for a few years beyond that.

14 wins & 2 draws so it would be absurd to whinge but playing Kyogo off Idah rarely worked when Celtic were faltering last Jan-Mar. I think Celtic would probably have won that if he’d taken Kyogo off & brought on Bernardo after an hour instead of not bringing Bernardo on til 70-75 & Engels til 85. As @Rocko said, you could have brought Engels on for Walsh or Ralston for the last 20 minutes too.

Conditions didn’t suit Celtic either.
