Iheanacho in to start. Presume Cvancara is injured. And possibly Bernardo who is missing from the bench too. Also thought Trusty would come back in but Arthur keeps his place.
Martin not happy at all at Colby Donovanâs pass into the stand behind the goal.
His facial expression would make a lovely meme.
Any reason the pitch is so shit at Tannadice?
An absolute pig of a pitch.
Performance is poor enough again. Pitch is some excuse but apart from some quick breaks we havenât really looked like doing much when possession is slower. Yang isnât taking his man on enough. Iheanacho isnât competing for many balls forward and weâre not really linking any play beyond the midfield.
I canât believe Iheanacho is still at Celtic
Yeah pitch is brutal but would like see more urgency/pace in the play so they can pin them in & reallly put them under pressure. Not enough chances &/or efforts on goal. Was hoping the second half last week would signal an upsurge in general performance level but itâs back to scrappy stuff & where subs will likely be needed to make a big impact. But the pitch is a huge limiting factor alright.
Whatâs McGregor at there?
FFS.
2-0. Getting shoved around physically.
Tounekti kicks the ball anywhere. Heâs brutal.
Araujo has been some loss to Celtic in this match. Heâs become the emotional heartbeat of the team and without they look dead.
Dundee United set to record back to back home wins over Celtic for the first time since 1991 which is a very good omen for Arsenal winning the English First Division this year, Tottenham Hotspur winning the FA Cup, Down winning the All-Ireland and Russia collapsing.
Been a long time since the Arabs got some good news
Huge day in the title race. Rangers look favourites now
First time since season 1988/89 that Glasgow Celtic have lost 3 league games in the same season in the City of Discovery. Theyâll have the chance to go one better very soon. First game back after the international break is a trip to Dens Park to face Steven Pressley and Dundee.
That was miserable.
We havenât started a game well in a long long time. Iheanacho getting the start out of nowhere and didnât look anywhere near ready for it.
McGregor with a shocking pass before the first goal. And when we take off McGregor, Donovan and Iheanacho you think their replacements couldnât do any worse. But Hatate had a nightmare few minutes at full back, Oxlaide Chamberlain was really sloppy in midfield, McCowan was abysmal and heartless and Adamu was pathetic.
The lack of skill is alarming. The lack of effort is going to kill us. Lost every challenge in midfield, the wingers didnât track back when it didnât suit them and we just walked around the pitch expecting chances to fall for us.
Thatâs that Iâm afraid.
The scenario which was forecast in December at this match where the away supporters are situated next to the Ărd Comhairle at Tannadice Park has come true today with Celtic supporters giving the Celtic aligned dignitaries abolute pelters over the police cordon.
Although my eyesight is terrible I could lip read the words âpishâ and âshitebagsâ being shouted out.
Desperate stuff in the second half. A lack of pretty much every attribute needed to win matches. The pitch becomes a convenient excuse - you need to show some guts, never mind ability.
Wasnât sure about moving Hatate to right back when Donovan got injured. Felt he was beaten easily for the second goal & it might have been too early to throw the dice. Donât know where Yang was for the first goal to allow Ferry all that space at the back post.
Yang was actually a big disappointment today after his brace last week. But thatâs it reallyâŚthese players donât have a level of consistency & arenât reliable unfortunately. You could go through the entire team really - McGregor & the rest of the midfield were really off it too.
Lots of loose touches, slopppy passes, a real lack of intensity & no cutting edge or guile in the final third. Iheanacho doesnât look anywhere close to being fit enough to play professionally & Adamu clearly isnât fancied.
Thatâs the eighth league defeat of the season &, although itâs not fatal, it looks like this side donât have the capacity to rattle off a load of wins in a row.
Glasgow Rangers will have to go to Tynecastle and Parkhead after the split, possibly Easter Road as well.
They also have a trip to Brockville to face Falkirk before the split.
The Teddy Bears have dropped a lot of points on the road this season, 7 draws and 1 defeat from 15 away games so far.
Most of those draws under the hapless hipster Russell Martin?
Youâd have to say though that of the three contenders, the Light Blues look in the best form.
Iâd have their remaining home games down as nailed on wins whereas that isnât the case at all with Celtic or Heart Of Midlothian.
Ibrox Park has been absolutely rocking lately while Celtic Park has been like a morgue this season with suppoertersâ groups banished by the Celtic board.
Celtic won the final eight games of the 1985/86 to deny Heart Of Midlothian and they now canât do that, today being the eighth last game.
Liverpool winning the final seven games was just enough to win that seasonâs Football League First Division. One feels Celtic will now have to win the final seven games to win the league.
