No Ed this morning mate? Just Claire? :eyes:

What’s a daycent app if I need to record this thing? – Dont mind them watches , they’re just a cod… I just want a basic app to record my sub 40 mins for 10k

You can’t trust a phone for gps, you could do it in 15 minutes as easily as 40
So it makes no difference what app you use, Strava is the most popular

So you’re dismissing all the lads who have posted up their times/ runs so far?

The watch uploads to the app when you’ve finished the activity.
It’s fine but if you are aiming for a certain time then you need a watch

Did you really swim all of that?

How about I look at the clock on my wall at home when I leave and get back?

Strava is the finest mate. I’ve tracked the exact same activity on the phone and the watch at the same time, and the results have been the exact same.

Test it out. Google map two km away, run there and back, and time it on a normal watch and see does it match up with your phone. If it does, the job is oxo

In as much as anybody here gives a fuck about your time then that will do nicely, perhaps you could roll a trundle wheel in front of you as you run for extra security

Will I get a bluetooth one and sync it to my watch to tell my phone to tell me what time it is?

Sounds like we need 5G up and running around here fast.

No, Claire did.

Look mate, you asked a question, I gave you an answer, the most popular app is Strava, but they all rely on phone gps so they all will give you the same information.

The phone GPS is accurate most of the time, but you’ll often find yourself running on water and across fields you never did when you look back at your map,
But it’s grand most of the time
