Ebola Outbreak

The brits are getting serious about this Ebola outbreak in Africa. The home secretary held an Emergency Cobra meeting today to discuss the outbreak. It was on the news earlier that am American doctor who contracted the virus and is now dead was able to travel through a few airports and wasnt stopped and another man infected with the virus was able to board a plane in Liberia ( I think) and go to Nigeria. Now they have to wait 3 or 4 days to see if anyone else was affected outside the current area as this is the incubation period.

I’m sure the Seanad will be on the case and prevent a worldwide pandemic.

What the fuck are the cobras going to do? Hand around the airport choking sweaty black lads?

God fucking help us if that is the case. I wonder if the Israelis have something to do with this outbreak?

Probably stop flights coming into the UK from the infected areas. Choking the black lads would be a bit extreme but I am sure that crazy old fart Prince Philip would be all up for that.

Cobras arent constrictors, they poison

Yeah but you couldn’t expect them to risk infection by biting people and breaking skin, so it’s reasonable to let them choke them, just being realistic here.

HBV had ebola

From what i heard that was the least of his worries, wasnt he the lad that fancied bacik

Cobra my fucking arse. It’s funny how the Brits call a cobra meeting whenever there is a major world event - you’d think they still had some world influence or something.

You’ve obviously not noticed the eyes of the world on Glasgow these past few days.

Risk with these viruses seems to be minimal because they kill the host so quickly and they are not airborne
so it isn’t passed on that easily and if you use reasonable measures it can be contained.

You can kill the ebola virus with soap - hygiene in these countries is probably not great - syringes not disposed of but reused in hospitals. Unless you are caring for somebody with the disease chances of catching it are slim to none

Captures the imagination as it is a zombie-esque story and if you do catch it the manner of death seems horrific.

Of course the risk is it mutates, becomes airborne and kills slower and then we do have a problem…

Two American aid workers have contracted Ebola and are being transported home to be treated.

Donald trump said they shouldn’t be let back into the country and he’s dead right.

Was there an Ebola crisis in the 90’s?

I have a vague memory of writing on a desk that a girl our class had Ebola

no risk of cross contamination in a western country with proper hygiene measures

it isn’t airborne*

Did Trump make any similar outbursts about AIDS in the 80s?

*ebola flying in a plane is airborne I accept

Why take the risk?

  • this is exactly how it would happen in a film

Unless they are riding Donald up the hole, or he is planing on sucking their cocks or drinking their blood, then old Don has nothing to worry about.

These doctors must’ve been up to all sorts so

Yes, a doctor coming in contact with body fluids (which is how the virus is transmitted) of a patient they are treating… who would have thought?

But by all means, stick with fox news/murdoch type scaremonging, it suits you.
