He could but that would have been in time for it to go ahead.
Add to this, the organisers applied to Laois for a vaccination only event. LCC asked the HSE for guidance. The HSE (NPHET) said no. Application denied.
Now hot lips says you can go ahead.

Laois County Council are more of a “we support Gemma O’Doherty for president” type group than “we want to take a chance on a music festival” I suppose

We don’t badly need this scuttter to be fair. Better off organise hundreds of smaller gigs around the country and share the wealth.
