Doesn’t look great -Woy is a big believer in 4-4-2 but with that defence and midfield they will be dragged around like Italy did to them in the Euros… they were spent after 70 mins of chasing their own tails.
They would nearly be better off playing 5-3-2 and let Baines and that useless cunt Johnson bomb on- Gerrard can revert to club position and sit in front of the back three and act as the quarter back spraying it wide to Baines/Johnson or into Rooney who will come deep---- For Suarez’ suspension Sturridge led the line brilliantly and can do it again-- Henderson brings the energy in the middle and Lallana will keep play ticking over and spreading the ball around- I think Sterling and Barkley could be the game changers tho- If these lads are brought on with 10/15 to go and let run at tired players in that heat they could do damage… Like I said tho- Roy will go for the Mike Basset othordox 4-4-2. I still think we will just about get out of the group.
