ENGLAND Supporters Thread - World Cup 2018, Russia Here We Come

he missed some really good chances last night though Geff, albeit called wrongly for offside on one of them that had he scored would have been reviewed and awarded. You know how it goes, the longer these tournaments go, the harder it is to get goals. The top players find a way and despite some very clear cut chances, Harry fluffed them and very much disappeared after that. Take off the Spurs goggles and you’d have to admit you’d be disappointed in your top striker not putting away some of those chances last night. He’s a good player, but hugely over rated. Manzukic is not that highly rated by many, and many would call him over rated, but yet he got a couple of sniffs at goal and was the decisive factor in the game.

Really interesting here to see the genuine pep in the step of Eire soccer fans.

I thought Kane could have passed the ball to Sterling who had an open goal for the one he missed. Sterling would probably have made a balls of it though.

Mandzukic is some animal. Thought he was dead and then he pops up in the right place.

I think we can say with some certainty now that @backinatracksuit called this wrong and he might be good enough to apologize to @the_man_himself

I wanted England to win due to the many friends and colleagues and both who did, and there was a nicer atmosphere round the place, but folk are mostly happy to have a group they can cheer on without unease for a change. All in all a good world Cup, and the four fat wankers can’t hijack it to portray a glorious brexit, so all in all :+1:

They’re a funny lot Eire soccer types. Fanatical about their England clubs but hate the England national team. We feel nothing but pride in this wonderful England team for getting to a World Cup semi final. The Eire soccer types have a bee in their bonnet about us seemingly losing the run of ourselves these last few glorious weeks. The same crew had Eire down as certainties to beat Denmark in the qualifier play off in Lansdowne Road (they lost 5-1 at home) and Eire in the 2002 World Cup final if Keano togged our instead of walking his dog.

More English than the English themselves.

I’m happy enough that 16-1 was a decent price for England pre tournament.
Congrats @the_man_himself

Sitting there waving his little Jack and bunting up all over the front of the house … the worst kind.

+1. Full of bluster now, but won’t cross the sea to watch Celtic in the SPFL this season or the Europa League when they get knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers.

They despise the English apparently, but they’ll be down in Aviva Stadium in a few weeks after paying €80 a ticket for a Chelsea Reserves v Arsenal Reserves pre season friendly and singing in their put on English accents.

Mandzukic is a better player than Kane ever will be.

At least the likes of @caulifloweredneanderthal was honest enough to combine supporting England with providing overviews of Liverpool’s pre season friendlies. A nice vibe around Melwood this summer apparently.

Fuck @caulifloweredneanderthal. Fuck Liverpool. Fuck England.

This a Croatian/Irish Nationalist forum with some GAA and Gridiron on the side.

Ever since he moved to Louth @caulifloweredneanderthal has turned into a right little west brit

Sits on the coastline every night with his dog, looking out over the Irish Sea, and telling spot, ‘some day we will make it over there’.
