The fortunes of England in a major football tournament are of considerably more interest to the people of Ireland than a border poll.
A Duke of Edinburgh derby in the semi final.
It would be hugely appropriate for Prince Philip Foden to score the winner.

14 years into the tenure of the new Wembley Stadium, there have still been precious few stand out moments there.
I can only think of England 2 Croatia 3 2007, Barcelona 3 Manchester United 1 2011, Liverpool 2 Everton 1 2012 and England 2 Germany 0 2021.
The next eight days should see that right. We may never again want to go back to having the dog track after these eight days.

A great achievement for a small country like Denmark to make the semi final. All the more so after the trauma of the near death of Christian Eriksen.
A team of the quality of this England side at a heaving Empire Stadium will be a big step up for Denmark though from Russia, Wales and the Czech Republic, particularly without their best player.
England to win, maybe by the same margin of 3-0, the last time we faced Denmark in the knock out stages of a tournament at the 2002 World Cup.
Beckham and Kane will have something in common in that they will both finish their international career without a trophy.
