Stalemate at Turf Moor, Leeds on top early but Burnley have perhaps had the best chances. I’d be hard pressed to remember any impact Josh Cullen has had in this
A damp squib nil-niller.
Frank Lampard, incredibly, is getting a tune out of Coventry City after the very harsh sacking of Mark Robins earlier this season.
A 3-0 victory over 4th placed Sunderland today puts them into 5th.
Carlisle under Sparky could be doing their usual escape act . 3 wins in a row now and today against the leaders no less. Port vale just missed a penalty there and all.
They were top of the old First Division after three games of the 1974/75 season before being relegated.
Sky showing the Coventry-Boro game instead of either the Leeds or Burnley games. I presume they’ll have live feeds to the studio panel for that if it gets interesting.
Burnley holding the champions spot as it stands, drawing at home to Millwall while Leeds trail away to Plymouth
Leeds better get their act together and win this division otherwise Liverpool’s title chances are fucked.
Blackburn are only a winning goal away from sneaking 6th as things stand now. Never heard mention of them being a contender since the manager walked out a few months ago
Luton’s fate currently in Portsmouth hands. A defeat for Hull City there would ensure Luton’s survival. It’s 1-1 atm. Luton 2-5 down
Looks like they’re going to miss out to Bristol City and Jason Knight. A late winner would do for Blackburn but Sheffield United are basically deciding their play-off opponent at present.
Leeds and Liverpool doing the business again
Poor oul’ Daniel Farke looking bereft as his team celebrate winning the league.
Frank Lampard must be about to fail upwards again.
I had a debate with a pal about the managerial credentials of Gerrard/Lampard and Rooney that could become the new Gerrard/Lampard/Scholes debate of yesteryear. I was adamant that Gerrard winning the SPL unbeaten meant he was ranked well above Rooney. Lampard looks to be pulling clear in first as the most competent of the 3 now.
Ye must have fuck all to be talking about
Like clockwork. I knew I’d rile you with that scéal😅
You splattered a bit of oil on the pan and reeled him in
Burnley finish the season having conceded just 16 goals. That’s just ridiculous in a division like this
Good way to be going into the premier league .
