EPL 2009/2010 official thread

Drogba puts Chelsea one up…

0-2 now…vermaelan O.G…If Chelsea can get through january/february without dropping too many points when some of their main men are off at the African Nations then they will take fair beating this year…looking very good at the back and have quality & goals all over the park

Chelsea are lucky enough that most of their games during the African cup of nations are handy enough.

Hull
Sunderland
Burnley
Birmingham

Chelsea’s fixtures during African Nations Cup period:

Saturday 09th January 2010
Hull City v Chelsea
Saturday 16th January 2010
Chelsea v Sunderland
Wednesday 27th January 2010
Chelsea v Birmingham
Saturday 30th January 2010
Burnley v Chelsea

I’d expect them to pick up at least 10 points from those four games even without all the African lads, and most/all of them should be back for the second two games anyway depending on who gets to the final in Africa

Chlesea are fairly strong favourites for the league if they win this game, only United can realistically finish ahead of them I’d say.

Rintintin beat me to it!

Drogba is a class act. That was some goal.

Super striker. I reckon he’s the best in the English game at the moment anyway. Torres is possibly more of a consistent goal threat when fit, but I think Drogba gives you more, certainly in the context of the Premier League where his physical strength is such an asset.

Another cracker from Gibson today.

Hes not one for getting tap ins.

Richard Dunne 5m, Lescott 18m…Your havin a giraffe.

It’s best not to try to apply logic to transfer fees involving City at the moment. They’re playing with Monopoly money.

Pat Dolan reckons Liverpool will be very pleased with that point today - I presume they actually won’t be too delighted.

Its about what you expect from a mid table team going to Blackburn, It`s not that easy win there.

Gibson’s goal.

Tevez the United legend puts City ahead.

Shay Given saves a Lampard Penalty.:clap::clap:

City will get into the top 4 easily this season.

It’s a matter of whether Liverpool or Arsenal will get knocked out.

As good as City have been against the top teams they have been drawing with Burnley and Hull at home so I wouldnt be sure they will get top 4. If Liverpool can get Torres fit I think they will be okay. Arsenal without Van Persie will struggle for goals so Wengers January striker signing will have to be a great one. Eduardo, Bendtar and Vela arent going to cut it for them.

Some goal this.
