EPL 2009/2010 official thread

Spot on. Assist now for Carr, and to think this guy was retired!

Villa won 2-0. Cracking goal from Milner. A lot better in the second half. Ashley Young and Gabby woke up a bit. Cana was sent off with 20 mins to go and Sunderland threw in the towel then. They were really poor. Reid was their only good player. A lot of his crosses made their way into the box which is a worry. They had nothing else. Kenwyne Jones is vastly overrated. Dunne gave him a lesson tonight.

87th minute, Brum break out, and Steven Carr is furthest man up the field, I am astonished at this man, I truly am.

That is a big enough win for Villa, after last weekends win thought they might drop points tonight but won without doing too much…

Milner looking like a good bet to go to the World Cup

Dont look like conceding at the moment. Dunne must be the most inform defender in the league. Ah Sunderland were absolute pants though.

This is a dinger of a game, lacking quality, but great entertainment. Keith Fahy on now.

Can somebody please do me up a comparision sheet of the number of goals conceded by Villa and City before and after the Dunne switch? Thank you.

I know City hadn’t conceded in the league before he left.

Villa have conceded 11 goals in 14 games since Dunne joined (league only).

City have conceded 21 goals in 13 games since Dunne left them (league only). City have kept 2 clean sheets since Dunne has left, Villa have kept 5 league clean sheets since Dunne has joined.

Birmingham up to 6th. Very impressive form.

Good man. Dunne, was without a doubt, one of the best “bargain” buys of the past couple of years. City were nuts to sell him.

Good to see Alex McLeish doing well. One of the good guys. Another good guy Kenny Miller banged in another two today

Birmingham top of the “form” league. 5 wins in a row or something. Carr and Lee Bowyer singled out by McCleish as being two of the main reasons behind it. If I played in the Newcastle defence for 4 years I’d probably want to retire too!

I waited an hour to see if anyone else would bump this but, in honour of KIB man, I give you:

Wolves fielded a second string side against Man Utd tonight. McCarthy more or less gave up before the game started.

That is shocking really.

i suppose teams do it in the cups the whole time…

If they beat Burnley at the weekend it will be hailed as a masterstroke…

No it won’t.

Didn’t they win their last 2 or 3 games before tonight? Seems a bit odd to be honest. Kevin Foley was captain tonight as well.

Congrats buddy. Snuck on a few bob Utd -2 tonight once I saw the team Wolves had out.

West Ham are fucked. But then again we never beat Bolton away, never. Cunts practically sent us down in the last time we were relegated. Ah well, such is life following the the hammers.
