Great start for the north London teams.

United playing most of their title rivals at home before the turn of the year means they will have to have a good lead going into the New Year if last seasons away form is anything to go by.

9 of Liverpool’s last ten are against teams you would expect to be in the bottom half… Utd are up 5 games in

We have Chelsea at home second last game of the season.

A relegation six pointer.

EPL followers, can one or more of you tell me how the following players are likely to do this season (this is merely for fantasy premier league purposes):

Johnny Evans and Tom Cleverley
Drogba
Kompany and Silva of Man City

Thanks in advance…

Cleverley might break through and be very valuable. Might be worth sitting back to see if he plays at the weekend, but he could be a real flier at 5.5 if he plays a lot. Evans will not play enough to have any value.

Drogba seems overpriced at 10.5 for the simple reason that you don’t know if he will play. There’s better value in Bent at 10.0 for example I think.

Kompany and Silva both excellent pick ups I think. Especially Kompany at 6.0.

I don’t play fantasy football but Kompany will be captain and ever-present in the best(top 3 anyway) defence in the league. Bargain. Silva will pick up about 12 assists and 5/6goals.

It might be worth checking the price of Joey Barton who will be ever present in his team and both scores and picks up assists. Not sure how much a yellow card costs though…

A tip from my fantasy league days would be to buy Robbie Earle, he always scores from midfield.

Is Kompany classed as a defender this year? Was a midfielder last year which was a shame as he was one of the main reasons City were so tight at the back. Silva looks like a great buy, should get loads of assists. Wouldn’t go near either Cleverly or Evans. Neither will play enough unless Utd have an injury crisis.

Will Bosingwa be getting the start for Chelsea this year?

Silva doesnt score than many goals though.

Will be interesting to see how many EPL games the likes of Young and Nani play. Both should get around 10 goals and a load of assists.

For some reason I think Bobby Zamora is going to have a good season. He will be in my team anyway for the first weekend as Villa are there for the taking.

Doubtful, didn’t play much last year with injuries. Rumours that he might be sold.

Spurs V Everton called off for Sat. No word on other games yet.

I wonder will Suarez start for Liverpool? He only arrived by to training this week after his Copa America exploits.

He scored a lot of points in his first season. A good few assists and a couple of goals.
Better hold off on picking my team till the postponments are confirmed. If I fall behind in the first round of games, then I will lose interest straight away.

He is doubtful by all accounts.

“All accounts” being the little info box in the Fantasy football?

Bosingwa was a Fanatsy gem alright, hard to know what team Chelsea will play this season. Anyone been looking at their pre-season games?

Enrique looks like great value if that move to Liverpool goes through

And according to the radio this morning

Ya I transfered him in earlier!

Any long term predictions?

Liverpool- Despite all the hype about them they’ll finish no higher than 6th imo. Spurs and Arsenal still have better players than them especially if Gerrard stays injury prone.

Arsenal will do no worse than last season, will certainly be around the top come xmas time still I expect. Wilshire and Ramsey are more than capable replacements for the 2 mercenarys who want out. Keeping RVP fit is the key. They will win either the FA or carling cup I reckon too.

Chelski- I have a feeling AVB could flop badly, will be under serious pressure. The only difference between him and Mourhinho is a massive difference- he’s not Mourinho. the last coach they hired from Portugal didn’t work out too well even after a great start either. They’ll probably finish in the top 4 but I can’t see them challenging for the title. Drogba, Anelka, Fat Frank & JT are a year older and a year worse.

Man Utd- Cannot play any worse than they did last year and they still won it comfortably. Rooney will be much better this season also. Can’t see anything except the Serie A equivalent of 2 stars agains their crest this time next year.

Citeh- All depends on how Kun adapts. if he is as good as Robinho was in the home games they’ll be fantastic. Still have a niggling feeling they’re not that great and sould be put under pressure by weaker teams. I’d fancy them against all teh big teams thugh to more than hold their own. If Aguero is a success then they will come 2nd, if not they will still finish 3rd.

Tottenham- Squad is looking stale with too may frnige players still on the books. If they got rid of Bentley, Jenas, Palacious, Crouch, Keane, Kranjcar, Hutton, Bassong and a few more and used the money to sign a top class striker and full back they’d be serious top 4 contenders.

Prediction
Utd
City
Arsenal
Chelsea
Spurs
Liverpool.

Relagtion - Wigan, Newcastle & QPR. I predict Swansea will stay up comfortably, Norwich less so.
