As Totti says though, he played very well (in the second half that I saw anyway). He had one great piece of play where he got a good shot away from nothing and nearly scored the rebound. Was very much involved in all the good things that Chelsea did.
Could have been three goals at both ends in that second half. Mad stuff, very entertaining. Unitedâs attacking play has generally been very incisive so far this season though, I guess it must have been in the first half here too. Iâd say the goals-to-chances ratio must be very good.
Ashley Cole the cunt took Hernandez out of the game with a horrible âtackleâ. Should have been another penalty.
Totti, was Lampard injured or was he just hooked at HT? I presume AVB will bite the bullet there soon and drop him. Heâs a liability at this stage, doesnât have the legs to make the well-timed runs into the box anymore.
He was hooked Braz. Very impressed with Chelsea in an attacking sense, Mata and Torres were very good. Chelsea had plenty of chances in the first half. Ramires had two outstanding chances, one of them was a sitter that he hit straight at De Gea after Torres squared it. Torres also had a number of good openings you really would have expected him to convert in the first half. I missed the last 15 minutes of the first half and came back to find United 3-0 up.
The United defence looked petrified of Torres, his finishing let him down today though. Ramires had a great game too but was also wasteful in front of goal. Seems to be a good understanding between Torres and Mata, but it was an open game, itâs a different story when sides shut up shop, there wonât be the space for Torres in behind, especially in the narrow confines of Stamford Bridge.
If Ashley Cole got booked for the tackle then surely it was a penalty. No matter. The match turned when De Gea made the save at 1.0 from Ramires when it looked a certain goal and United punished Chelsea with the 2nd and 3rd goal. 5 wins out of 5. It looked like an injury but hopefully was taken off as a precaution. United are short enough on defenders at the minute so hopefully he will be back for Saturday. The carling cup team defence will be interesting.
think united look wide open defensively at the moment. Still winning games but Chelsea created a host of great chances against them. Evans isnt good enough and I think Evraâs had it aswell. Problems in the centre of the park too arent going away.

The Carling Cup is of little interest to anyone these days. United will play the fringe players and some promising youth players like Paul Pogba and hopefully will get to the next round. If they lose so be it.
