Tipp Town FC went out against the mighty St Michael’s on Saturday night in the FAI Junior Cup First Round with a 6-3-1 formation. Now they still lost 4-1 but probably saved themselves from a 10-0 had they gone out and been a bit more cavalier.

It’s like what Rodri does. It looks so simple but he is always, always running to be in the right position to take a pass, he never goes too far forward and leaves a gap, never tries to get glory for himself. Reminds me so much of Busquets. A great footballer, who could probably do damage if he made more forward runs, but knows that that’s not what he’s there for

Gas it was mildly controversial bringing in raya at the time.

I was at a psg game a few seasons back mainly to see messi live… I watched him for the whole game and what he did looked so simple but was so smart… basically he’s being man marked so when psg were attacking, the winger is cutting into the box with the ball, messi simply drops back out of the box leaving his man marker now watching the winger with the ball… winger then cuts it back outside the box where messi had bought himself 2 or 3 yards and then he does his thing…, he did it the whole game…

The great pundit Jamie carra had it spot on for the whole of second half. The ball ended up at dias feet in the centre of the pitch right in front of the box about 50 times. Why not just put foden or someone similar who can pick a pass or move the ball quickly and shoot in that position instead of a centre half. Pep must have had someone listening to sky as he did it for the last 5 minutes
