Italy very much on top for most of the game. They’re struggling to play through Balotelli though, apart from his finishing he just isn’t linking up with anyone. But they’re well on top in midfield and look more likely to carve out more and better chances.
Bit cliched but they do look vulnerable to crosses. They’ve defended a few of them well enough but the centre halves are struggling with movement and Welbeck is winning a lot in the air from kick outs and the likes.
Should be a decent second half anyway. It’s a good open game with some nice football from Italy and some direct attacking stuff from our oppressors.
It’s a ridiculous point, similar to people claiming Cisse’s goal against Chelsea was a fluke.

England’s midfield are spent already. Milner & Young have to be hooked shortly. Both awful in possession and not tracking Itailian full-backs.
