I am.
team id like to see start
Randolph
Coleman O Shea Duffy Brady
McClean McCarthy Hendrik
Long Hoolahan
Murphy
They’re an awful cowardly lazy lot.
Mind you Eire weren’t a whole lot better in the face of Nazi tyranny, remaining neutral.
Thank God for the Russians.they didnt shit themselves like you did before the marathon
whats remaining neutral Geoff? we did actually aid and abet, did we not guide yankee planes, just like we have (almost silently) now aid the USs terrorism and rape of lands 1000s of miles from their country.
De Valera conveying his sympathies and those of the Eire people to Ambassador Hemple on the death of Adolf Hitler.
France will just be too good I’d say. Can see it being similar to the Belgium game
were the “Allies” not selling adolf arms and oil?
agreed. the intensity (and the emotion) of the other night will take its toll…
edit, France will be well up for this unlike Italy and they have Payet
Facing a full strength and motivated French team just like it was a full strength and motivated Belgian team a different proposition to a disinterested largely second string Italian side.
bump, FFS
he has a great way about himself ,our Robbie, so he does
If go with the same team as the last day. If Ward isn’t fit then bring in Whelan for him and drop Brady back.
id have whealan for macarthy and walters for long but they maybe not fit enough. long is best when the game opens up a bit. ward is out he got a nasty one the last day
are you over there rocko?
On the way.
I would leave Brady in midfield, we have a much better balance with him there. I would take a bug gamble and start Christie at left back
That’s very interesting, I like Christie a lot, has he any previous at left back? Brady has to stay in midfield.
Equally Walters has to play if he is able to.
Long will play and will get a bit more change from the French CB’s than he has so far, if we are to do it we need him playing well, hopefully he’ll shut a few people up like McCarthy did the other night.
Murphy will be retained over Long if Walters is fit. He is far more comfortable in the lone front man role. Long’s hard running and energy would be much better utilised off the bench early in the second half
