Listen to me. Go and get your cock sucked. Seriously.

That was actually a key moment… the Itie shit himself and you can see the affects later when Brady scored as the keeper flapped about with his eyes closed clearly afraid of a belt. Obviously Shane’s GAA pedigree came to the fore here and it ultimately won us the game.

That’s a good point

I haven’t been following here… Is he trying to say Ireland winning a friendly rugby game is the same as Ireland winning a competitive game at the Euros against a nation that is a footballing superpower?

please, calm yourself a small bit. the wop 11 from last night are not a footballing super power, nothing like the good old eire fans to be getting carried away with a football result. the same lads would be guffawing at the english for doing the same.

He essentially pointed out that Eire just about stumbled over the line last night against a second string Italy side who were barely trying as they had both eyes firmly fixed on the real business of Monday’s knock out game against reigning champions Spain.

We can go back to the RWC thread and look at the reaction to Ireland beating France if necessary.

Though I believe all of the anti Rugby football brigade were predicting Ireland would lose than one.

Some sobering news today as to the shambles that is domestic soccer in Eire.

Fresh doubts surround Athlone Town’s future after the struggling Airtricity League First Division club were fined €5,000 by the FAI.

The fine - €4,000 of which has been suspended - was part of the punishment handed down to Athlone by the FAI’s disciplinary committee on foot of the club’s failure to field a team for their Airtricity League First Division match against Waterford United at the RSC last Friday.

Waterford have been awarded the points for the match on a 3-0 scoreline, and the next fixture between the clubs, which is scheduled for August 5, will be played at the RSC, with the Blues retaining all of the gate receipts.

The €4,000 suspended part of the fine will be implemented in the event of Athlone failing to fulfil another fixture this month.

The FAI have set up an independent review into the situation at Athlone but it’s not clear when that will be completed.

Watching the news and all the coverage of last night here and I’m in tears again. Unreal.

I like how she didn’t over commit when giving a prediction for the French game. Smart girl.
