Euro 2016 - Irish Squad Watch

McShane :ronnyroar:

Surprised Matt Doherty of Wolves hasn’t been capped yet. Seems to be doing alright.

Ward will go if he is fit. I’d bring Wilson for his versatility also.

Wilson should be the back up left back alright simply because we’ve no other options. Clarke looks to be in awful form too.

Wilson should definitely be in there. He can play left back. I would leave ward at home.

Brady is a massive loss to the attack.

Ridiculous facial hair too. Prick.

No Ward, no party.

Shocking anti Fingal bias on display here. If Ireland are to excel at the Euro’s then the squad has to have a Fingalian core to it

Watching Derby play here against Brighton. Christie brilliant for them. I’d definitely be giving him a go at left back in the friendlies considering our lack of alternatives and watching him here, albeit at a lower level he looks too good not to start. The commentator tells me he was named the best right back in the championship too. Keogh playing too but Hendrick not playing unfortunately

What’s the story with our injuries?

Walters, Keane, McGeady, Hendrick and Murphy are all still out as far as I know.

Doyle is back playing for Colorado after sustaining that bad gash to his shin against Switzerland.

I thought I saw Walters pop up on MOTD on Saturday night in the Stoke game. Unless he only got injured then?

Oh that’s good so.

Just to check I wasn’t imagining it.

Came on after 56 mins

Thanks for that, @Mac.

Walters looked pretty sharp when he came on.

How long is Murphy out for?

I assumed that was a typo at the end of O’Dowd but apparently not. Never heard of the lad.

This is a 35 man squad. Needs to be trimmed by 12 by the end of May.

Shocking lack of knowledge of Noel King’s U21 conveyor belt of talent.

The Brentford lad broke his leg

Scott Hogan broke his leg?
