To be fair the loss of Hazard was incalculable. They have no other player of his type, and few other teams have. It’s like taking Hagi out of Romania or Stoichkov out of Bulgaria back in the day.

His positional play and awareness of what’s going on at all times is superb.
Spinazolla will be seriously missed. Superb player. Thought taking Insigne off was a strange one. He was brilliant and after that they lost\conceded control and Belgium started looking dangerous.
Italy are much better than Spain but like Spain need a real striker.

In the bit he played in this tournament he was a big threat. It’s what he does that nobody else can do. He uses his arse to turn on a sixpence, he turns a defender and brushes them out of the way. Those are the most most valuable players in the game because they turn you from a back to goal team to a team bearing down on goal. Belgium had constant trouble breaking out of Italy’s attacking put 'em under pressure job when they were playing out from the back, their passing game was so laboured as a result.
