It’s remarkable how the pitch side advertising affects your enjoyment of a major finals tournament, it helps to build the occasion. Advertising needs to be of the traditional fixed variety, not rotating or electronic. Each ad becomes a sort of marker for the players to know where they are. The pitch side advertising in this match is killing it as an occasion. You’d think they’d have at least thrown in a fixed Vini Italia ad over towards the corner flag.

Best performance I’ve ever seen from a keeper was Rustu in a game in Sunderland. England v turkey in a wc qualifier
There was a performance art quality to the Turkish centre back collecting that ball under no pressure and ignorantly hoofing it over the sideline. Martin O’Neill would have been proud of him.
