Euro 2020 thread (Part 1)

Are Denmark really all that? Yeah they’ve Eriksen but other than that is there a whole lot to fear?

Swiss are decent but not a super power either.

Obviously extremely limited ourselves but have to be relatively happy with that.

Denmark are nothing special at all and arrogant cunts too

two 0-0 draws with Denmark and the job is oxo

Yeah, I think they are one of the better second seeds to get. Certainly wouldn’t fear them at all.

Except that they wallaoped us 5-1 at home a year ago…

Not under big Mick though

Yeah but that was as much to our own collapse as anything. Ward alone gifted them about three goals that night.

They are better than us, no doubt, but certainly not world beaters.

who did BOI get?

“unseen game plan”

Eire are steeped to get that draw.

Is ours the only group with two teams that got to the knockout stages of the world cup?

Fixtures will be out shortly apparently.

Gibraltar at home or away would be ideal to start with.

Absolutely.

Gonna try to get to every home game I think

Shouldn’t be any hassle getting tickets for this campaign anyway.

Weekend match dates are preferable. For those living outside the Pale matches on say a Tuesday or Thursday night can be a dose to get to, with work, travel, early start the next morning etc.

Nothing for Eire to fear in that draw.

Might get lucky and have friendly dates in March
As someone on twitter said our 2 friendliest will doubtless be
Oman (H)
Poland (A)

Ireland’s fixtures.

Saturday Mar 23: Gibraltar (A)
Tuesday Mar 26: Georgia (H)
Friday Jun 7: Denmark (A)
Monday Jun 10: Gibraltar (H)
Thursday Sep 5: Switzerland (H)
Saturday Oct 12: Georgia (A)
Tuesday Oct 15: Switzerland (A)
Monday November 18: Denmark (H)

Not the worst set of fixtures, gentle start.

Sticky end to the campaign though, the away double header in October is awkward.

Theres some very exciting home matches to look forward to there in the Aviva and there are some very good away trips in store for the travelling Eire fans.
