Tim Vickery used to have a phrase about Brazil that they thought they could beat you “on moments” while playing a fairly dull, conservative type of game. That’s sort of what England did there but they were much more conservative than Brazil have usually been over the last few decades. It was a very dull England performance in truth. Croatia played it on their terms for a long stretch and Modric is still peerless but they look much more toothless in attack than they did in 2018 and I wouldn’t be that surprised if they go out in the group stage.
I read last night that the chance of saving somebody in this sort of situation with CPR is around 7% whereas with a defibrillator it’s around 70%.
