Last number of tournaments have been won by teams set up not to lose, and decent attacking talent up front.

In 5 minutes they’ve gone from Levy wanting 150 million for him to 180 to 200.
Tournament winners usually don’t start off at full pace. France were dishwater dull in the group in 2018, Portugal struggled in the group in 2016, Spain lost their first match in 2010 and didn’t start off great in 2012 either.
Germany in 2014 is a rare exception in recent tournaments.
Southgate seems to be going for solidity above all, he’s probably looking at France in 2018 as a template and hoping that with each match the understandings between players will grow and make them a more formidable attacking unit.
But in a tournament like this there could be a bit of a trade off between minutes played and building up on pitch understanding.
I think Sancho might be worth throwing in. England’s finishers don’t look confident. Even Sterling’s finish for the goal wasn’t great, it was sort of at the goalkeeper. His attempt when he ballooned it over the bar with no pressure on him was dreadful.

From what I recall it’s all about speed of getting there. The figures we were given on defibs was a lot lower than that. It was given in the context of don’t beat yourself up if you’re unsuccessful with saving someone.
