I think it’s reached the stage where the FAI deserve credit for identifying Willy Sagnol as a decent option. Not a hope he comes near us now.

This is proper tournament football at the moment.
The plucky underdog with the crowd massively on their side backs to the wall against an overwhelming favourite. But with something to hold onto. For now.
It’s like watching a match with an over enthusiastic younger brother.
