Will Portugal do that thing that teams already assured of top spot always seem to do now and field a weakened team, thus handing the initiative to group underdogs? Portugal themselves handed South-Korea a 2-1 victory at the last World Cup which eliminated Uruguay. The Koreans subsequently hammered by the dancing Brazilians in the round of 16. France caved in for Tunisia in similar circumstances, Brazil the same against Cameroon. Italy softened a bit for us at Euro 2016 although they werenât actually group winners and it ended up leading them down a much tougher knockout route. Georgia have been tremendous fun at this Euros but no matter what team Portugal put out then theyâll still have real quality.

The speed of the medical response there was very poor given that itâs clearly a serious situation if theyâre running on with screens.

Germany would be heading for Italy, who theyâd beat I reckon. Then England, France and Spain or Portugal. They could come unstuck in the semi-final against the French.
