Sadlier is sound. Just comes across as a normal sneery type of lad with a bit of wit and intelligence you’d meet at a bbq going out with a friend of your wife’s. Stephen Kelly is like a younger version of Peter Collins a fierce harmless chap. Kenny is a unique kind of oddball character he’d be great value over a few pints.

The World Cup in 2010 wasn’t great either really. A lot of turgid games and again the French, English, Argentinians and Brazilians were very average. Spain won 4 knockout games by 1-0. I think this tournament is sizzling nicely. Shades of the 2002 World Cup with all the less heralded teams doing well. Denmark gave it a real go tonight and the game basically hinges on two VAR calls.

The 2002 and 2010 World Cups and Euro 2012 were shit. But we were there in 2002 and 2012 and 2010 at least was a World Cup, and Maradona was there.
This tournament has none of those elements. Italy have been as limp as I’ve ever seen them at a tournament. France and England have offered nothing. Belgium are almost anti-football.
There are very few interesting storylines or narratives. Scotland at least tried on that score.
Christ it would want to improve and soon.
