Rangers would have much stronger links with Everton than with Liverpool.
As a Liverpool supporter I’d be up for Everton in the unlikely event of them reaching a European final and as a Celtic supporter I like to see other Scottish teams do well.
Rangers winning the Europa League would also embarrass the hell out of Celtic, which Celtic badly need to happen given their utterly pathetic European performances of late.
A lot of Celtic supporters seem to be a lot happier when Rangers lose than when Celtic win which is a dreadfully cynical, negative, small beer attitude. The real losers from Rangers being forcibly relegated were Celtic.
Celtic need to be shocked out of that sort of attitude.
