2-1 Psv now. Decent game
3-1 PSV
Zehavi x 2 and mario goetze
PSV are a fine side
the league route of this is an absolute fucking bear pit
i mean look at this draw and this only the third qualifying round
League path
PSV Eindhoven (NED) / Galatasaray (TUR) vs Celtic FC (SCO) / Midtjylland (DEN)
Spartak Moskva (RUS) vs Benfica (POR)
Genk (BEL) vs Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)
Monaco (FRA) vs Rapid Wien (AUT) / Sparta Praha (CZE)
jesus @balbec Legia are 1-1 with Flora Tallinn… id expect Dundalk to take Levadia Tallinn tomorrow night
Polish domestic football is plummetting in terms of European League rankings of late- the results are abysmal
Dreadful standard
the ranking of 15th is so important as that is where your second place team in the league can enter the CL
16th place is the cut off for Cup winners entering Europa league
@Rocko
can we put Wagner Love in the Quincy Proomes category of strikers who earn a lot of money, are hyped up but mediocre?
well Wagner Love is still plodding away with Kairat Almaty, they beat Red Star 2-1 at home tonight and he got x2 in their 3-1 aggregate win over Maccabi Haifa in the earlier round
aside from O’Shaughnessy with HJK , anyone of note in that Malmo side lads to trouble that horrible bastard Gerrard…what a link Rangers and Liverpool, knee deep in sectarianism, murder, violence and a complete victim mindset- jesus christ i hate few clubs, i support nobody really bar Ireland and look out for the Cobh and Beitar results but jesus christ i have never wathced liverpool or rangers and wanted them to win… mother of god
speaking of Sweden, Zach Elbouzedi signed for AIK Solna…
Ofir Marciano signed for Feyenoord as an aside
Legia 2-1 up
@mickee321 did you see that Lukasz Podolski is playing for Gornik Zabrze this season? He said he’d do it for his granny
what’s he squad make up Balbec?
is it Poles who arent good enough for Europe and then a few journeyman Brazlians and Spaniards or is it ;loaded with Africans?
The South Eastern Eastern European leagues like Cyrpus, Greece and israel attract a lot of Spanish / Portugese and Brazilian footballers who are doing the circuit on one year deals, look at APOEL, ARK Larnaca, Olympiacos , their squads would be full of these players, this is quality that keeps these clubs above the domnestic level
What you see then is the poorer clubs in these league have a load of domestic players and also
a load of these unheralded fellas from Africa … take say maccabi tel aviv vs maccabi netanya… Netanya is a load of Israeli lads and then all these fellas from the Belgian Congo, the Central African Republic and burkina faso… tel aviv would have fellas who played with APOEL/AEK and the likes of Leganes of the spanish second division
what sets you apart is the quality of foreign player you can bring in… if legia are loosing that - they and the league will plummett
No Africans. Boruc is there (age 41) and Kapustka the kid that did well at Euro 2016 and bombed at Leicester. There is a sprinkling of Czechs, Portuguese, Azeris, Serbs, a fella from Mauritius who worked his way down through the French leagues and one Israeli, Joel Abu Hanna who was in Germany. Most of the locals are kids as you say. They’ll probably walk the league.
Champions path
FC Salzburg (AUT) vs Brøndby IF (DEN)

Malmö FF (SWE) / Rangers FC (SCO) vs Olympiacos FC (GRE) / PFC Ludogorets 1945 (BUL)
FK Crvena zvezda (SRB) / FC Sheriff Tiraspol (MDA) vs GNK Dinamo (CRO) / Legia Warszawa (POL)
League path
AS Monaco FC (FRA) / AC Sparta Praha (CZE) vs KRC Genk (BEL) / FC Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)
FC Spartak Moskva (RUS) / SL Benfica (POR) vs PSV Eindhoven (NED) / FC Midtjylland (DEN)
Come on Olympiakos.
Rangers have conceded 2 quick goals away to Malmo at the start of the 2nd half. Seem to have a depleted side out, will still fancy their chances to go through if they keep it at this.
