European politics

I see ze Germans have a champagne left party that won the election.

The Bacik bounce is even effecting the Germans.

Interesting bedfellows

The craic in France is absolutely epic.
Macron threw in a grenade with the snap election and the parties have gone bananas.

The leader of Les Republicans tried to form an alliance with the far right and then barricaded himself into the party headquarters when that started to fall apart.

Draghi calling out EU for being over regulated and falling behind USA in GDP along with technology and innovation gap

and here we see whats really behind the report

“that spending must be better coordinated including major institutional changes to streamline decision making by scrapping national veto rights and pooled responsibility for borrowing to boost capital.”

a technocrats wet dream

There was a lad there on EuroNews be the name of Klaus Welle. He was former Secretary General of the European Parliament. A German.

He’s only 60 odd but he spoke very maturely about world matters. To be honest I heard of him but knew little about him but he spoke openly and very fluently about world politics.

In a nutshell he reckons Europe is doing well. Ukraine will be split in two and end up like Germany did post WW2. It will eventually unite like Germany did but it could take many years. Putin’s days are numbered and will eventually end up selling oil underprice to China, just to keep afloat and relevant.

He said so much it was hard to take it all in.

This one?

I see Macron got a box of his missus.

Doesn’t help with the whole creepy teacher thing

The big fake smile on him coming down the plane steps with her a few seconds later. Like the couple in Father Ted.
