Ooft. Ceferin has gone in hard on Man United.
Klopp has instigated a breakaway super league as he had no more worlds left to conquer.
The list of lads who’ll have to resign to retain a shred of credibility will grow quite quickly here
Joel Glazer and Ed Woodward do seem to be very much leading the charge from the English clubs.
How long are you in the INTERNET now?
Man Utd killed English football long ago.
Boycotting the FA Cup in 2000 was a game changer.
American owners from way back… Flirting with the stock exchange. Pulling out of cup competitions… They’ve always led the way commercially.
North America now has the best and fairest leagues in world sport while the snooty hygge lovers eat themselves with late stage capitalism.
What use leagues where one or two clubs win the majority of titles for decades going forward. PSG,Bayern, Barca/Real. Champions League is corporate merchandising heaven, the soul of the sport is Auxerre, Kaiserslautern, Valencia winning domestic titles, then going into a knock out competition. Expel the super League clubs to their own closed shop and save the game.
@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy is defending UEFA and the Tories and calling for Coach Klopp to resign.
A normal day.
There’s always been a bit of gloryhunting amongst the Footix. Even on this forum you’ve had members transferring their allegiances from club to club, leaving Chelsea when they weren’t delivering and rocking up as Manchester City supporters when it suited
North American teams can up and leave a city and move 509 miles away… That’s very shit.
Bar that, you’re not far off.
He says it here. It’s been mentioned in a few places. But he says the clubs think the EU competition rules would be in their FAVOUR
I think it would be difficult to say a 20 team league amounts to a cartel, when they don’t intervene with the likes of Google etc who own half of the market
You could possibly say the company holding the league is a cartel, but they’ll say they’ve loads of competition from EPL, Bundesliga etc etc
The only club in Europe this makes sense for is PSG and they’re not one of the 12 yet.
France would be better off without PSG, they don’t even need their money.
That is fucked up but soccer fans leave a club and support one 510 miles away if they suddenly buy success. Is that not worse?
There also no grassroots football in America football. High school college scholarships then nfl if you dont make cut your career ends
It would be absolutely fucking hilarious if Atletico or Man City upped and moved to New York or Shanghai. UEFA are the only thing stopping that at the moment.
A european league of 12 teams but two teams in Manchester and two teams in Madrid makes no sense.
yeah well the grass roots is the college game basically
but there’s no local professional game
Do they have local amateur leagues outside of the college game? I know that baseball has a B-league or something that’s big enough
united not tweeting about this shows they are playing 3D chess with the other 11 clubs.
