Another year playing regularly and scoring in a decent Brighton team is probably best for him at this stage. No point moving to a side where his playing time will be halved. The Brighton manager clearly likes him and is managing him well.

He signed a new Deal in October - presume before that he was literally on pittance like any other academy player.

Id imagine theyāre already in talks.
Iād be thinking between 3k-10k per week with good goal/win bonuses.
Its when players go from that to real money that their heads can go all over the shop.

There is a lot of hype but Irish media havent proclaimed him as the 2nd coming or anything either. He has more goals and assists than any teenager in Premier League this season. Gary Lineker and Danny Murphy have singled him out. I think Iād prefer to see him develop at a club in Italy, Spain or Germany which might make him a more rounded player. Its the quality of some of the efforts that are particularly eye catching. His 2 goals at the weekend showed great agility with 2 contrasting style of finishes. His glancing header to save a point against Chelsea where he arrived late into the box was sensational too.

I think he looks very promising but comparisons with the very best are a bit off yet. Letās be fair, he has practically no competition for a spot with Brighton especially since Trossard left.
Would Ferguson start ahead of a Toney, a Watkins, even an Antonio (who himself struggles to start every week) at this moment in time? Probably not. So Brighton is a great place for him to develop where they play a nice style of football and he has little competition.
