I totally understand the emotional connection to former players, but if Everton want to be an elite club they should be looking for an elite manager IMO. They should be on the phone to managers like Frank Lampard and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer etc etc even if they say no you have got to ask the Q.

Duncan, David Unsworth assistant manager, Tony Cottee as forwards coach, Lee Carsley as hair dresser and Neville Southall as GK coach.
