FA Cup 2009 Thread

Yeah, to retain his place for the next year probably.

The new captain I’d say.

on the red card he was indeed right, on the penalty no, by a longshot

also element of offside about the 1st goal

but having said that utd were worthy winners even without the dubious mr neal

ITV highlights of Southampton Man Utd have the Setanta commentary team from their live coverage earlier on - Champion and Burley.

A bit strange I thought.

Did anyone see the shot where they showed Reina and few more of the Liverpool subs’ reactions to Keane’s best chance which he completely fucked up? Trying desperately hard to keep in the laughing

Anyone got any live streams ?

http://www.nkora.us/ for the Villa game anyway. half time 0-0. Gabby has missed a couple of good chances.

Milwall Hooligans Yesterday

I don’t have any time for hooligans but if you’re going to act the hardman then at least have the guts to square up to someone face to face. These cunts ripped seats out and fired both them and metal bolts at the Hull fans. Apparently there were quite a number of head and facial injuries sustained due to people getting cracked with these, and coins too of course:

Arsenal jammily go through tonight to the semis with an offside winner. Wenger refused to shake Phil Brown’s hand after the game and ran down the tunnel.

He really is a wicked, spiteful fucker.

Allegations as well that Fabregas spat at the Hull assistant manager after the game.

I can’t be arsed posting the article but I was reading Brown’s comments on the BBC website and he’s talking about not crying over spilt milk on one hand, while crying quite a bit over spilt milk with all his quotes on the matter. They’re complaining to the League Managers’ Association - what authority do they have? He should get in touch with Yahoo through BenShermin.

Brown said in the interview last night that Fabregas encroached on the pitch and spat at Horton. When Setanta showed footage which proved it didnt happen, Brown changed his story to say it happened in the tunnel.

He also said that Wenger never shakes hands with him after games. Then today a lot of football websites showed pictures of the two shaking hands after both league games this season.

Todays comments from him were even more bizzare. He complained about Fabregas dress sense but if the FA can punish people for what they are wearing Brown could be the one serving a lengthy suspension.
He then spoke of Fabregas “encroaching” on the pitch while at the same time saying that there was no rule against it. The comment about not crying over spilt milk just topped off a crazy rant.

Changing subject slightly, when watching games on Setanta does anyone fear for Craig Burley’s well being. When someone has that much hatred of life and is so depressed, being on national television can’t be a help.

It was sheer joy followed by despair for me as a Celtic supporter when that cunt was promoted from the SPL coverage to be Setanta’s EPL Andy Gray equivalent. Joy because I wouldn’t have to listen to him during Celtic games any more, but despair when Scott Booth took his place. I used to think Ray Houghton was overly critical, with his ‘terible decision George…if only he’d got his head up’ blah blah but Burley’s another few notches up the negativity level again.

I may have mis-heard this but i thought at one stage last night Burley said of Djorou “if he had a brain in his head”. That couldn’t be right, could it?

If I was to hear on the news some day soon that Burley had gone on a shooting rampage before turning the gun on himself, i dont think I would be too surprised.
