The boiler? I’ve done radiators but never the boiler itself.
I have. And yes - oil.
When? Has it been run a lot more over the past couple of years? Could be a lot of things, a job for a professional
A couple of years ago,
Just looking here. Radiator closest to the boiler is in the utility room and hasn’t been turned on in years. Can’t be good.
Daniel O’Donnell?
Should be every year, sounds like a sensor or something
Shouldn’t make a difference.
List of things to check if you want;
Filter (blocked, partially blocked, water in bowl)
Kero (dirty or full of water)
Nozzle (carbon deposit)
Wiring (broken connection)
It really is a job for a professional and you will almost certainly need to change a good few bits on it
I’d say he would have a better chance at fixing it than farmer
What make and model have you?
Ya I often need to bleed the boiler when I top up the oil tank, particularly if it had run empty. There’s usually a little valve that has a nut which screws out and you just leave it dribble away for 30 seconds or so catching the run-off in a cloth, much the same as bleeding a radiator. Worth a try before calling in a specialist.
It’s a Grant. Not sure of the model.
Go and buy a new Grant one if it’s a very old one.A new one will actually save you money.
This would be y first port of call. A quick rasp of a wire brush and you’re golden.
The advice given already will see you home. Bleed and clean.
If neither sort it light it on fire and call your insurance company.

@Corksfinedtboy what causes small blisters to form under emulsion paint? First coat yesterday was grand but second coat today is blistering.
Always seems to happen on some walls and not others. Couldn’t be the paint, could it?
Try paint them out and it leaves a mark on the wall. I’ve never tried to leave them to see if they’d dry in flat.
Moisture on the wall
…just as the sun was going down, I said moisture on the wall…
I doubt it.
Yesterdays coat was fine and plenty of drying time in between.
There was some splashes of what looked like 7-Up on the wall that wouldn’t wipe off. So I put stain block on them. Might have missed a bit.
It’s a pain after a few hard (for me) days work. I’ll see how it drys in.
A coat of filler for the gaps left
