If you have the room you could lay few batons lengthways and fix your 2x1s to these from the back and then mount on the wall. Nothing showing then only your creative genius.
Tec7
Grand for the likes of @Bandage but not for me. It sticks so well you’ll lose both the timber and the wall surface if there’s a need to remove it.
Use the battens
That’s true
I was thinking about gorilla glue or tec 7
The Gorilla glue is brilliant stuff, so good that the timber will give before the glue. If that’s what you’re after it’s hard to beat.
Looking at the photos I’d go with a finish nailer and pin them every 400 at an angle on 1" side… nothing seen then and easily removed. Can set the nailer at 45° and wallop through them.
So @Corksfinedtboy @FatChops the boss cant find the colour she wants for the 2x1s.Asks me can i varnish them, ffs i have them primed now.Any ideas ?
I supposed to be on my holidays relaxing
You can forget about ever sanding them.
The best you could go for is a distressed look or something…
Could that work not be undertaken under a community service programme?
Not like you to leave a stone unturned
Tell her fuck off
