Fantasy Premier League 2008/2009

disappointed to see myself propping up the table at this early stage but considering that 7 of my starting team are playing today things should changeā€¦

Having a 'mare in the fantasy league this year. Iā€™ve just done wholesale changes to my team and played my wildcard. 24 points last saturday with downward arrows in all my leagues sealed the deal for me to cull my team. Think I have a good balance going nowā€¦

Hadnā€™t checked this in a while and after seeing I only got 22 points last week I decided to do a Vladimir Romanov on it and go out and buy a new team. The earliest Iā€™ve ever played my wildcard. Will have to keep a closer eye on things now.

Thereā€™s 2 TFK leagues going on. TFK and TFK*. Sound for the invite lads, sa-hound!!

and yet another outstanding contender for IOTM

Locke, you idiot. Do you not recall Shanā€™s histrionics in resigning from the league and ensuring nobody else could join the one heā€™d initially set up?

23rd September and our first nailed down candidate for IOTM.

and even putting it in the same thread as the whole shan throwing the toys out of the pram thread.

Sure I donā€™t be looking at half the contributions on here. But I accept the nomination for IOTM with pleasure. I reckon Iā€™m a shoe inā€¦

I wonder if Locke will notice this contribution then:

Locke is a fool.

Did someone say something?

eh, did you not vote shan in last months ITOM? I might be wrong tho, must check it out, I thought tho you had left a vote right to the end and voted shan, who was nominated on the strength of fooking up the fantasy football as detailed on this very thread.

tut tut locke, disappointing from you.

Embracing this will not get the votes you crave. To become a true and deserving idiot you have to fight the nominations

I did, and I knew about the toys out of the pram but didnā€™t read on and see the new league set up. My back. Plus I didnā€™t want to see auld pukey getting the IOTM award, solid skin, if not now worthy of his accolade at this stage. Chances of me getting the IOTM award ahead of Bandage, Rocko, Puke, Farmer to name but a few in Sept are slim to say the least.

Obviously the IOTM preview thread is the place to discuss most of this but Iā€™m inclined to agree with Lockeā€™s implication which is that it will take a hell of alot to deprive Bandage of his crown this month. Maybe only a seasoned campaigner like Puke or Farmer can stop him.

i think that fighting my corner in the celebrity spotting thread will have me in the thick of it even though i am still waiting for bandage/farmer/ncc to clarify what qualifies somone to be in the celebrity spotting threadā€¦

A celebrityā€¦ I would have thought

but there in lies my grievence what is a celebrityā€¦far too many double standards over thereā€¦

Youā€™d be right Puke, youā€™d be right. At least you brought down Farmer and Bandage with you.

Well Pat Fitz is not a celebrity.

but i think the arguement has moved on from thatā€¦i have exposed the hypocrisy of that thread when certain members of the gaa who would only be known by wexford supporters are allowed celebrity status while a respected figure like pat who is known the length and breathe of munster isnā€™t granted the same courtesyā€¦
