I haven’t managed to hear this yet, Alexa is on her dinner-break but I’m presuming is connected somehow with the late Jimmy Gralton. Given poor oul’ Jimmy’s hardships, reversals and ultimately deportation I’m confident that this isn’t a very rousing or uplifting tune.
I’m envisaging a nostalgic ballad of hungry people, lost loves and opportunities prior to all the livestock perishing in some previously unknown plague.
An Bórd Scannan made a movie called Jimmy’s Hall a few years ago. A relatively accurate depiction of his life and times in Ireland.

The Dromod boxty could be the end of him - not a patch on the product from the Hub in Drumshanbo from Detta McNiffe’s enterprise.
That said Dromod is a grand little station. The locals wouldn’t be that familiar with Michael’s sartorial tastes but he’s merely a stones throw from a couple of noble boozers.

It’s nice alright, but i preferred the tawny yellow shade it had during your sweet afton days
We used to ate Boxty by the bucket load on Halloween night,the mother would be all day greatin potatoes with a home made grater(a biscuit tin lid with a hape of holes punctured in it by a 4 inch nail) and it would be piles up on the table.A nice bit a butter and a small bit of sugar on it then, delicious.
