My understanding is that they got 6 Kerry PLC shares for every one Kerry Co Op share they owned. Kerry PLC shares are currently trading at €99. The average value of the new shares now held was €130k per person across the 12,000 on the list. There must be more millionaires in North Kerry than anywhere else in Ireland!

My ould lad was onto me about this as he has both types. Was there an opt in or did they automatically exchange the Co-op holdings for PLC shares?
I believe they automatically exchanged the co-op shares following the vote back in December
My neighbour was left 800 co-op shares by his grand uncle who passed away a number of years ago, he didn’t know much about them until recently, worth €475k now the lucky duck, he’s over the moon
Can you avoid the cgt if you reinvest in an agri related investment .land or buildings or the like…there was some exemption here on Kerry shares before that was the cause of the price of land going bananas
