Joe once again promised me that Clare were gonna win it this year. He was almost in tears … He has totally dismissed Limerick, Cork, Dublin, Wexford and Waterford from doing anything this year. I asked him what he based all that on and he said Clare are flying it and they are champs. I really hope it works out for him or i’d fear for him. I’ve never seen someone so worked up in Jan/Feb.

[I]This isn’t an issue of censorship, it is an issue of posters being responsible in what they post and for the most part posters do. I doubt that very many posts, if any, will have to be edited but there is no harm in having it been said byanreiteoir all the same.
For the most part users are quite good about calling out bullshit but people also need to factor in that there are a lot of people reading this forum as guests (1200+ in the last 24 hours or so for example).
The main issue I would have are posts where thinly veiled rumours are posted - such as the person coming and and posting “did anyone hear x & y” or “Is it true …” and trying to give something legs by putting it as a question rather actually standing over what they are posting. Again when you have over 1000 guests looking in each day it only takes a few people to take something as gospel for it to take off. There are a few examples of this in the past months, completely unrelated from the Clare Senior hurlers by the way, and I don’t think it is any harm from trying to eradicate these types of posts from the forum.
