[quote=“habanerocat, post: 799748, member: 1513”]Match traffic will be signposted to go through the tunnel. At least they do for all the big rugby matches. But where to then is the question. It’s a three or four mile walk from town.

All the local housing estates will be blocked off for sure.
The guys who parked on the Condell Road can’t do that any more because it’s a bus lane now.
All the green areas have signs indicating No Parking. They might be more lenient in the summer, I don’t know!
Dunnes don’t allow their own employees to park in their car park, so I personally wouldn’t try park there.
Woodies car park might be an option. I haven’t heard anything about that but it’s a hoor to get out of.

Woodies now hire a security company and clampers on match days!

Mulgrave/William st it is then!

The redemptorist church in Limerick is a handy spot to park your car any day in Limerick. If you got down to the Curragowwer bar by 12/1 there is limited parking but you’d get in at that hour or arond the strand there and you’d only have to walk out the ennis road.

Fagan,

Trust me listen to Renton. You are better off parking the other side of the river from Gaelic Grounds when it is this type of crowd expected. A bit of walk but you can soak up the atmosphere

Fagan is going for the minor match so will be in before most traffic. Na Piarsaigh is not a big car park and will be full fast I’d say, probably easier pull in on the side of the road somewhere between the tunnel and Na P, should be early enough to find plenty of space. The tunnel side is definitely the better option I reckon.

The Na Piarsaigh field will be open for supervised parking as per usual. Weather is forecast good.

Fagan take the ring rd past limerick, take the caherdavin exit and park in the na piarsaigh club house

Fagan ODowd

Take the tunnel route, get off at Caherdavin exit as per advice above and park anywhere near the roundabout there. Parking on the other side of town leaves you a long walk over & back. Regardless of the crowds you will be on the motorway & away very quickly if you park as above.

Cars illegally parked will be ticketed and those causing obstruction are likely to be towed away by Gardai. Patrons are advised to use Street & Off Street Parking in the City and avail of the Bus Éireann service from Lower Henry Street to travel or to take the 20 / 25 minutes to walk out to the venue as they will be caught up in traffic if they cross any of the bridges in the City out to the venue. Patrons are also advised to avail of the Park & Ride service that will be provided from Woodlands, Adare / South Court, Raheen, Eastway Business Park and other locations around the City. The service providers have been requested to use the Tunnel to travel to these locations.

Cheers mate.

Renton came up with the goods here. Parked in a multistory close to the river. Decent walk there and back. Had a nice burger in Burger King. Was back home at 8.30. Not bad.

Accident at the caherdavin exit of the dual carriageway. Southbound traffic backed up to six mile bridge turnoff.

Informative. That’s one of those motorway exits where people often don’t slow down enough coming from the main road to compesate for the severity of the bend.

Strange, I’ve never seen an accident there before. It’s dual carriageway 100kph

Oh I was thinking of the exit after the tunnel.
