FAO of mac and other posters whove ventured to cork

Ahoy there. Im being dragged to cork by the missus and baba.

Looking for decent drinking spot in evenings close to metropole and activities with baba during dautime.

Thanks in advance

So now you want my help - cunt

Cork is only so so for proper boozers. I’ve always liked the Bodhran tho, likely to find any sort of character in there and it has a jukebox.

Crane Lane

Only with the drinking spot, i wouldnt so insensitive as to ask you to help with kids activities

Grand for later in the night, but not for a few hints-

Am no expert on City Centre as only been there on stags recently. Haven’t a notion what to do during the day unless you take a drive out to Blarney or walk up and down the streets listening to yer man shout ECHO at the top of his voice. Or head out to Fota wildlife park actually, only 20 mins away.

Pub-wise, again most of the places I was were aimed at a certain audience. Would recommend a meal in the Strasbourg Goose - great food and great value. Will have a think on pubs and come back to you.

If you head up Barrack street there are a number of decent pubs Art.

Start off in the Oval, head to Mutton Lane Inn and finish up in Crane Lane.

Cantys

The little one would love Fota Wildlife Park, art. They can feed the animals and all that malarkey. Great shout by your bessie, @Mac.

Tassotti is going to wipe the floor here when he sees this

Fota in January with kids??

Kev sorted me out for accommodation when I went to Cork a few years back. I thought he was taking the piss and I did have to check in under the name Kevin Rock but the guy got me 50% off and I remain forever indebted.

Shes a hardly little one @mickee321 and she loves animals. great shout by @Mac

ah but shur jesus the place is closed up totally in winter, im not sure if its even open, the giraffes arent a fan of cold weather

Like all other cork/kerry inhabitants, the giraffes will do whatever it takes for tourist euros. If that means pulling their stones another 6 feet up into their necks and wandering out into the elements they’ll fucking well do it

Think you can get a train out from the city as well if you want a bit of added novelty
